My very first ones were in Acrylic about 4 years ago, want to check them out… scroll all the way down
This time I crocheted with 8/8 cotton, I'm curious how long these will last
next time (well into the future, I assume) I'll make them with sock yarn
Thank you Reina for the Beige, Ella for the green and Anita for all the other colors

Choose your yarn and the smallest possible hook that you can still crochet with
Sturdy chair socks stay in place better I chose a 3.5mm hook
For squares, keep divisible by 8 and for round 6 or 8 stitches
Increase 6 with sc (US) dc (UK) and 8 with hd (US) htr (UK) per row
Play with sc (US) dc (UK) and/or hdc (US) htr (UK) and the number of rows to determine the size of your base
I crocheted the base, no bigger than the bottom of a leg
Because crochetwork stretches, they can just about get around it, are super tight and won't go anywhere
After the base I crocheted the next row in the back loop, not necessary
I crocheted 9 rows of dc (US) trc (UK) for the beige chair leg socks
You can also crochet hdc (US) trc (UK) or sc (US) dc (UK), but they don't stretch as much
you have to take this into account when crocheting the base
Do not cut your yarn immediately with the first sock, but try it on the different legs
(mine are not quite the same, front and back)
If this fits you can continue, just to be sure, write down what you did
Then you’ll be OK, good luck and please show them when you have them ready
